Dingxiang: Intelligent and Green Development of the Flange Industry

Dingxiang City, Xinzhou, Shanxi, "the birthplace of forging of China", promotes the flange industry to the global market through smart manufacturing and environmental transformation. The share of forged flanges from Dingxiang exceeds 30% of the national market, for wind power - 60%, annual exports account for 70% of production, and are supplied to more than 40 countries and regions.
In recent years, Dingxiang has been actively developing low-carbon production: gas replaces coal for heating, green materials and recycling are used. Tianbao's 4,454 kW photovoltaic project reduces CO₂ emissions by 425 tons per year, bringing the county's total green energy output to 207.45 MW. The guideline "Evaluation of Green Forging Industry" was established, Dingxiang became China's demonstration base for green forging, promoting the upgrading of the industry.

Data from 70% of equipment is collected automatically, providing accurate tracking and increased efficiency. Products from leading companies such as Hengyue and Tianbao account for 70% of the global market for precision specialty parts for construction machinery.
The enterprises produce products from 150 types of raw materials, according to 268 standards and non-standard sizes (15–5000 mm), export to more than 30 countries, providing a global supply of high-quality flanges. By 2025, the expected production capacity will reach 3 million tons, export - 1.5 million tons, forming a center for smart manufacturing and global services.
